
DayZ
The project I worked on at Bohemia Interactive. I worked on post launch content from update 1.10 to 1.14.
My role mostly revolved around implementing gameplay features and bug fixing. However, I also did some design work in the form of Prototypes, Design briefs, feature documentation ( of already existing and newly implemented features ).
The main challenges to tackle were linked to the live nature of the game but also the fact it was highly moddable and running on in-house technology. Backwards compatibility was crucial for the community created mods.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Scripter, I used the Enforce scripting language to implement new features, and maintain the legacy script base used to implement the gameplay of DayZ.
Main features I developed :
- Broken Legs ( 1.10 )
- Contaminated Areas ( 1.14 )
- Garden plots in Greenhouses
- Fish / Snare traps
