Space Contractor

At the end of the 1st year at ISART Digital Montreal a "Board Game" project was led. The team was composed of Game Designers and 1st year art students.
My team decided to create a strategy game inspired by Euro games. Each player controls ships and must honour contracts by going from planet to planet.
Once a player successfully got to destination she gets a reward she can spend on new ships or upgrades. Upgrades include speed boosts, shields and lasers.
We wanted to encourage negotiation between players as well as planning by adding hazards on the map, but these hazards only trigger upon random events.
